LSC

We are excited to share that our agency has received our LSC today.  We will have it in our hands tomorrow.  We are so excited to be able to post info about our son Christopher Xiaohu.  He was born in December of 2010.  His name means little tiger.  He was given that name because he was born in the year of the Tiger.  He is from Shenzhen in Guangdong, China.  We still have anywhere from 2.5 to 4 months before we go to get him.  We have to complete paper work for the US Government.  When that is approved everything is sent to China.  Article 5 is issued.  China gives us travel approval and a consulate appointment (with USA) will be made.  Then we can book our flights.   I am still hoping to get there for his second birthday.  I can't wait to hold this sweet boy in my arms.

This was our referral picture of Christopher Xiaohu he was 7 months old.

These were from an update at the end of April.  He was 16.5 months old.

I think he is calling to say "When are you coming to get me?"

In April he was about 30" tall and weighed about 25 lbs.  He follows directions, imitates his nannies, makes his likes and dislikes known and has good use of his hand. We are very lucky that he is in an orphanage with a Half the Sky program.  He is pretty much on target because of the great care his nannies give him.
I can't believe he'll be 20 months old in two days.  We have been watching him grow up in pictures.  We can request one more update and I think we will wait until our paper work goes to China.  I want to be able to have current measurements so we can purchase clothing for him.  I can't wait to get our next updates I bet he has changed so much.

  1. Congratulations, Joanna! I am so happy for you and your family. It stinks watching them grow up from a distance! I hope your paperwork goes quickly and you are traveling before you know it.
